Phlebotomist Floater - 1st Shift
Job Title: Phlebotomist III - Float
Location:Stamford, CT
Duration: 3 months
Shift: Mon to Fri - 8 AM to 5 PM
Pay range: $20.24/hr. to $22/hr. on w2
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist III - Float is responsible for drawing and processing blood samples across multiple locations, ensuring accurate and timely specimen collection for lab testing. This role requires direct patient interaction, fostering trust while maintaining confidentiality and following established protocols. The Phlebotomist III - Float may lead a team, mentor new employees, and handle complex or high-volume cases requiring advanced phlebotomy and customer service skills. Flexibility is key as the position requires coverage in various settings, including doctor’s offices, patient service centers, and long-term care.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform blood draws and specimen processing across different environments.

Lead and mentor staff, providing onboarding and guidance.

Act as a point of contact for staff and provide input to leadership.

Manage high-complexity or high-volume cases with excellent customer service.

Collaborate with multiple teams (Sales, IT, Billing, etc.) for specialized cases.

Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Job Requirements:

5+ years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

3+ years in a Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) setting preferred.

Strong customer service skills, with retail/service experience preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).

High school diploma or equivalent (medical assistant or paramedic training preferred).

Keyboard/data entry experience.
