Job Title: Data Engineer
Location: Foster City, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Duration: 16 Months
Pay Rate: $62/hr – $63/hr (W2)
Job Summary:
- The Data Engineer will support the Risk Analytics group within Risk Governance and Audit (RGA).
- This role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of financial data products critical to internal audit processes.
- The engineer will contribute to advancing the team’s data and analytics capabilities by combining technical expertise with an understanding of business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the full data engineering lifecycle: requirements gathering, architecture design, development, and change management.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows to ensure accurate and efficient data movement.
- Ensure high data integrity and architectural efficiency by implementing standardized development practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver actionable data solutions.
- Reduce operational overhead by automating workflows and optimizing pipeline performance.
- Experiment with new data sources and analytics solutions to enhance team capabilities and value delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional experience working with data pipelines (or 3+ years with a Master’s degree).
- Strong hands-on experience with ETL development and orchestration tools (e.g., Databricks Workflows).
- Proficiency in data querying (e.g., SQL) and scripting languages (e.g., Python).
- End-to-end experience with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with financial data sourced from SAP.
- 2+ years of experience working with internal financial or audit-related data.
- Understanding of database internals or data warehouse architecture.
