REGISTERED RESPIRATORY THERAPIST - NIGHTS

Position Summary

1. Provide high-quality respiratory care for patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.
2. Support the Cardiopulmonary Department during staffing needs while adhering to organizational standards, policies, and workflows.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Deliver respiratory therapy services for diverse patient populations (neonates through geriatrics).
2. Stay current with organizational education and training, including updates on new equipment and workflows.
3. Collaborate effectively with the care team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
4. Fill gaps in the department schedule as a traveler. Shift sign-ups occur every 8 weeks, and travelers may select their requested shifts only after the full-time night therapist has completed their selection.

Required Certifications & Licensure

1. Basic Life Support (BLS)
2. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
3. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
4. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
5. Current Maine State Respiratory Care Practitioner License

Qualifications

1. Ability to provide respiratory care across all age groups.
2. Strong adaptability and willingness to learn new equipment and workflows.
3. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
