Job Duration: 3 months+
 
Shift: Day | 5x8-Hour Shifts (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM), Monday to Friday
Facility Type: Inpatient Hospital
 
Job Description:
  • Seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with strong clinical experience in an acute care inpatient setting.
  • Ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, efficient, and focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Position involves working with adult and geriatric populations.
 
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in an acute care inpatient setting at a large facility
  • Must be able to float as needed
  • First-time travelers are welcome
  • BLS Certification required
  • Active NC State License – Registered Dietitian (RD) required
  • Competency in Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (NFPE)
  • Ability to identify characteristics of malnutrition
  • Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
  • Experience with patients having conditions such as:
  • Heart failure, diabetes, stroke, renal failure, oncology, GI issues, COPD, CAD, and respiratory failure
  • Familiarity with ICU (Med, CV, Neuro), Progressive Care Units, Orthopedic and Surgical Units, Rehab, OB, and Pediatric Units (no peds or NICU coverage required)
  • Knowledge of Cortrak tube placement, ventilators, and CMO cases
