Engineering Technician (Temp)
Location: Remote
Duration: 5 to 6 Months
Duties:
Works with the Client's Contract Manufacturing Team, other related Client's Departments and has direct communication with assigned Contract Manufacturing sites. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting process or equipment issues, selecting fixtures, tools, gages, and creating and updating process documentation and drawings. Assists with various types of project activities including process validations and other Contract Manufacturing site related engineering needs.
Daily support and problem solving in line with Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity objectives
Development, incorporation of, and maintenance/calibration of fixtures, tooling, and gages
Assists in the development of product and manufacturing specifications for new and existing products. Assists in initiating and processing engineering change documents and drawings.
Performs routine product testing and assists Manufacturing Engineers in the Design Control process for new products or product, process, material changes
Collaborates with Client's Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Operations and Product Development teams to achieve process, technology, operations, and quality objectives in addition to performance goals for the contract manufacturer(s) or business partnerships.
Interface with the Client's CM Team members and the CM s to evaluate manufacturing process issues and improvements, providing supporting guidance and any required documentation to implement
Other duties as assigned supporting the overall needs and activities internally and at the CM s
Hands-on troubleshooting and operating of equipment as required
Education: Associate degree in engineering or manufacturing technology required
Experience: Candidate must have 2 to 4 years of technical experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries with knowledge of Engineering Change Controls; Lean and continuous improvement; Project Management, Manufacturing processes, Maintenance programs, OSHA and EPA standards; Knowledge of manufacturing concepts, Ability to prioritize multiple projects, The ability to work independently, in a team environment, and with other individuals; Experience using CAD, Minitab, Oracle, and Agile is a plus
