Title: Phlebotomist II
Location: San Antonio, TX
Duration: 2+ months
Shift: M- F : 7am -6:30pm - 40 hrs/week between these hours.

Job Overview:
The PSR II serves as the main point of contact for patients, providing high-quality blood sample collection and preparation for lab testing. This role involves patient interaction, ensuring a safe, trusting, and professional environment while following established procedures. PSR II demonstrates leadership, confidentiality, and accuracy in patient information, and may be assigned to various locations based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform blood draws (forensic/clinical) and specimen processing accurately.

• Verify patient info and labeling post-venipuncture.

• Maintain required records and documentation.

• Foster a positive image to patients, clients, and the public.

• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote safety and professionalism.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient in pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy.

• Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

• Phlebotomy certification (required in certain states).

• 3+ years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric/geriatric collections.

• 2+ years in a Patient Service Center preferred.

• Customer service and data entry experience.

Additional Info:

• Reliable transportation is required.

• Must be on time and available for the entire scheduled shift.

• Excessive absenteeism or tardiness will result in termination.
