Program Coordinator I
Department Administrative Coordinator – Biomedical Engineering
Employment Type: Contract (Potential Temp-to-Perm)
Work Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite
Position Overview
This position plays a key role in supporting the faculty and staff within the Biomedical Engineering (BME) department. The role is responsible for coordinating purchasing activities, assisting with financial processes, supporting student payroll, and providing general administrative support to ensure smooth departmental operations.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Vendor Coordination

Execute all purchasing processes for the department.

Evaluate vendors, pricing, and contracted services.

Provide vendor support and resolve purchasing-related issues.

Ensure purchasing activities align with university policies and funding guidelines.
Financial & Reimbursement Support

Act as a liaison between faculty and internal financial offices.

Process and review faculty and staff reimbursement requests for compliance with university and funding agency policies.

Support departmental financial processes in coordination with BME Financial Managers.
Payroll Administration

Manage and process student payroll for the department.
Administrative & Office Support

Maintain office organization and appearance.

Greet and direct visitors to the department.

Answer and route telephone calls and relay messages.

Provide general information to callers and visitors.

Assist faculty, staff, and financial managers with administrative needs as required.
