Job Title: Medical Coder Coordinator
Job Location: 100% Remote
Contract: 3 months+ (possible extension)
Schedule Notes: Mon - Fri 9 am – 5 pm
Pay Rate: $21.40 per hour. on W2
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Education Requirement:
• High School Diploma or GED is required. An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
Job Location: 100% Remote

Pay Rate: $21.40 per hour. on W2
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Abstract and code clinical data.
- Audit medical records to ensure compliance with the organization's coding procedures and standards.
- Accurately enter coded data in a system and validate data entered.
- Research correct coding practices, clearly document and share findings with others.
- Review denials and recommend billing corrections.
Required Skills:
- At least two (2) recent years of Medical Coding experience required.

Certified Medical Coder- must have certification from recognized organizations such as the
American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or the American Health Information
Management Association (AHIMA), Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding
Specialist (CCS). - Knowledge of Medical Billing and Coding Systems: Experience with coding systems such
as ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS is essential. These systems are used to translate medical
services into standardized codes for billing purposes. - Attention to Detail: Accuracy is critical in medical coding to ensure correct billing and
compliance with regulations. Attention to detail helps in avoiding errors that could lead to
billing disputes or legal issues. -
Understanding of the No Surprises Act: A strong understanding of the No Surprises Act
and its implications for billing practices is preferred.
Education Requirement:
