Hours: 8:15 AM – 5:15 PM

Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients visiting for routine health care or critical health decisions. The PSR II is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing, following established procedures. This role requires building trust with patients, explaining procedures clearly, and performing blood draws in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. The PSR II demonstrates leadership behaviors, process excellence, and sensitivity to patient confidentiality and data accuracy. Assignments may be in a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations as dictated by business needs.

Job Description:

Assignments may be in a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations as dictated by business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties per established procedures.
- Verify patient demographic information and obtain signature post-venipuncture to ensure tube labels match patient identity.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime shifts.
- Adherence to all Policies & Procedures including dress code, Employee Health & Safety, and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles.
- Ability to make sound decisions based on established procedures and good judgment.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record (if applicable).
- Travel and flexible hours required to work at multiple locations or cover at Patient Service Centers/In-Office Phlebotomy sites with minimal notice.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Demonstrate superior customer focus; communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients.
- Embrace change and understand business processes.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic training) preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Work Experience:
- Three (3) years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Two (2) years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
