Medical Technologist

Job Title: Medical Technologist
Location: Liberty Township, OH 45069
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: Night Shift, 3x12 hours (36 hours/week)

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform waived, moderately complex, and highly complex laboratory testing as per CLIA guidelines
• Conduct chemical, bacteriological, serological, and microscopic testing across lab departments (chemistry, hematology, microbiology, etc.)
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
• Perform quality control procedures and ensure accuracy of test results
• Troubleshoot instrument issues and take corrective actions
• Prepare reagents, standards, and control samples
• Validate, review, and report lab test results
• Assist in training and mentoring staff on lab procedures
• Manage inventory and ordering of lab supplies and materials
• Handle and dispose of biological and hazardous waste per regulations
• Interpret lab results and collaborate with pathologists and clinical staff
• Recommend additional testing when necessary

Requirements:

• Associates Degree in Laboratory Science/Medical Laboratory Technology OR Bachelors degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field
• MLT (ASCP), MT (ASCP), or MLS (ASCP) certification required
• Knowledge of laboratory operations and processes
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets)
• 1 year of lab experience preferred

Preferences:

• Prior experience in multi-department clinical laboratory settings
• Familiarity with advanced lab instrumentation and troubleshooting
