Phlebotomist I
Location: Wellford SC
Duration: 4+ months
Shift: Mon - Thur 8am - 3pm
Job Summary:
The PSR I serves as the face of the company to patients visiting for routine healthcare or critical health decisions. Responsibilities include drawing high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining a professional, patient-centered environment. The PSR I must perform procedures with accuracy, compassion, and a focus on confidentiality, while upholding leadership behaviors and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Phlebotomy & Specimen Collection:

Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collections confidently and skillfully.

Collect blood specimens from pediatric, geriatric, and adult patients.

Follow established practices and procedures to prepare specimens for lab testing.

Ensure accurate labeling and patient information verification.
Customer Service & Patient Interaction:

Establish trust and confidence by explaining procedures clearly to patients.

Maintain a professional demeanor and promote a positive image.

Deliver superior customer service in a high-paced, patient-facing environment.
Documentation & Compliance:

Accurately maintain required records and documentation.

Uphold confidentiality of patient information.

Comply with all company policies and health & safety standards.
Work Environment & Team Support:

Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

Work under the direction of the area supervisor to complete tasks on time.

Adapt to scheduling needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
Job Requirements:

Ability to deliver accurate, error-free work under pressure.

Work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent phlebotomy skills (pediatric and geriatric experience preferred).

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to handle high-volume settings and multiple priorities.
Education:

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience:
-
Required: Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience.
