Phlebotomist II
Duration: 3 months
Location: Saint Paul MN
Shift: 07:30AM-06:30PM (8hours shift)
Pay Range : $25/hr
Certificate/ License Required : YES
Role Overview:
The PSR II serves as the frontline representative to patients, providing quality blood specimen collection and preparation for lab testing. This role demands a professional, trustworthy presence, excellent phlebotomy skills (including pediatric and geriatric), and adherence to safety and confidentiality protocols. Assignments may vary between doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities accurately and on schedule under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, professional environment.

Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.

Verify patient demographic information, obtain patient initials and signatures to confirm proper tube labeling post-venipuncture.

Maintain required records and documentation.

Promote organizational commitment and uphold a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors, focus on process excellence, and respect confidentiality and accuracy regarding patient information.
Job Requirements:

Deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Flexible availability (weekends, holidays, on-call, overtime).

Commitment to all company policies including dress code, health & safety, and guiding principles.

Ability to make sound decisions within established procedures.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if travel is required.

Willingness to travel and cover multiple locations on short notice.

Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Superior customer focus and strong communication skills.

Ability to adapt quickly to change and understand company business operations.
Education & Training:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Phlebotomy certification preferred and required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Training location may vary based on trainer availability.
Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years phlebotomy experience.
