Job Title: Scientist
Location: Cincinnati, OH – 45237
Duration: 12 Months (Contract)
Pay Rate: $25 to $28/hr on W2
Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexible Schedule)
Note: Must be available to work on Saturday and Sunday as part of the regular 5-day workweek.
Position Summary:
The Scientist will perform routine chemical and physical testing of pharmaceutical materials and products, ensuring compliance with internal protocols and regulatory standards. This hands-on lab-based role requires use of analytical instrumentation and strict adherence to GMP, GLP, and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform analytical testing on pharmaceutical raw materials, finished goods, and stability samples using compendial and in-house methods.
- Verify, interpret, and document analytical data accurately.
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, titrators, pH meters, balances, and other standard lab equipment.
- Maintain organized and clean laboratory workspace, including instruments and testing materials.
- Accurately document test results following established laboratory protocols and SOPs.
- Follow all GMP, GLP, and safety standards rigorously.
Required Qualifications:

Education:
- Associate’s degree in a physical science (preferably Chemistry) with lab experience
- OR Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with no experience
- Experience: 0–2 years of relevant laboratory or internship experience
- Must be able to wear a respirator – no facial hair allowed
- Basic knowledge and exposure to instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, titration, wet chemistry, balances, and pH meters
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and strictly follow procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
- University lab work or internship experience
- Exposure to chromatographic techniques such as HPLC
Top Skills:
- Familiarity with HPLC (preferred)
- Ability to follow established analytical methods
- Strict compliance with safety protocols
- Working knowledge of GMP and GLP environments
