Job Title: Lab Tech I
Location: Branchburg, NJ 08876
Duration: 12 Months+
Shift: 9 am – 5 pm (Flexible)
Pay Range: $23 - $25/hr. on (W2)
Role Overview:
The Lab Technician will support the OligonucleoProduct Manufacturing group by performing synthesis, post-synthesis processing, and characterization of oligonucleotide products. The role involves hands-on work with analytical instruments, assisting in platform development, scaling up processes, and troubleshooting production issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct synthesis and post-synthesis processing of oligonucleotide products.
- Operate and maintain lab instruments such as HPLC/UPLC, UV-VIS, and LCMS.
- Document experimental procedures and results accurately.
- Support new platform development and scale-up activities.
- Monitor lab inventory and generate purchase requisitions as needed.
- Input production and testing data into systems like SAP and LIMS.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, OSHA safety regulations, and cGMP standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams for equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Participate in training sessions and on-the-job learning.
- Assist in designing experiments and drafting protocols, investigations, and reports.
- Contribute to the improvement of lab procedures and evaluation of new equipment.
- Support the development and implementation of new SOPs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 2–4 years of relevant laboratory or production experience.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with HPLC/UPLC, UV-VIS, LCMS, SAP, LIMS.
- Soft Skills: Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Compliance: Understanding of cGMP, OSHA, and laboratory safety standards.
