Position Overview:
This role requires demonstrated knowledge and experience in project management, relevant technologies, and leadership within assigned project areas. The ideal candidate possesses strong team-building skills, effective negotiation abilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities. The candidate will develop, manage, and monitor project performance to ensure results meet project requirements and schedules. The role also requires coordinating the resolution of technical problems, implementing changes, and representing the project and the company in public forums.
 
Top Required Skills:

• Project Management Experience: Proven experience managing product, schedule, and budget for large, complex projects.
• Design Background: Solid understanding of engineering and design principles.
• Project Lifecycle Management: Experience managing the full project lifecycle, including scoping, contract management, risk analysis, cost management, scheduling, planning, work management, implementation, construction, execution, documentation, and closeout.
• Construction/Improvement Projects: Skilled in developing, implementing, and managing new construction or improvement projects to enhance plant reliability, efficiency, and safety.
• Project Performance Monitoring: Ability to develop, manage, and monitor project performance to ensure results meet project requirements and schedules.

 
Soft Skills / Team Fit:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation and presentation capabilities.
• Ability to lead, collaborate, and work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to work and develop rapport with all levels of management and staff.
• Effective negotiating skills.

 
Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Operations experience.
• Construction management experience.
• Prior experience in a corporate environment for a Nuclear utility.

 
High-Level Project Overview:

• Manage large capital upgrade projects, such as reactor coolant pumps, fuel handling equipment, polar crane (reactor building), and feed water heater replacement projects.

 
Experience Requirements:

• 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience.
• Prior experience in a corporate Nuclear utility environment preferred.

 
Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Construction Management preferred.
