Job Description
Power Controls and Information Systems (PC&IS) Responsible for development and innovation in electrical design, programming, and digitization of automated, robotic, and information systems.
- Lead process improvement in material utilization, safety, and cost
- Own and build Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and Human to Machine Interfaces (HMIs)
- Lead manufacturing lines and machine controls
- Strong leadership skills and team leadership experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience or ability to quickly learn power systems, computing and network technologies, machine control and instrumentation, vision systems, robotics
- Knowledge and experience in electrical safety regulations and best practices
Technical Skills
Must Have
- 3+ years working in a manufacturing environment in controls and automation
- Ability to self-direct with decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- HMI development (FactoryTalk View Studio, Wonderware)
- PLC programming (ControlLogix)
- Familiarity with IT/networking and database applications
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Understanding of instrumentation and measurement systems for process control
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of industrial environments, engineering, and production processes
- Experience with industrial networks and safety standards
- Experience working with:
- 480/277VAC 3-phase
- 208/120VAC 3-phase
- 24VDC
- 4-20mA
- 0-5V and 0-10V control circuits
- Knowledge of OSHA 1910, NFPA 70, 70E, 79 safety standards and machine design specifications
- Ability to perform tasks within industrial control software
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain networking platforms and industrial control software:
- DeviceNet
- ControlNet and Remote I/O
- DH+
- DH485
- EtherNet/IP
- HTML/XML
- Python/Java
- SQL programming
