Multimodality Technologist

Location: Grapevine, Texas
Assignment Type: Temporary (13 weeks)
Travel Required: Yes
Work Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM (4x10-hour shifts)

Required Certifications / Licenses

  • Basic Life Support (BLS, AHA Only)

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT – CT)

  • Texas Medical Board (TMB) License




Minimum Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Multimodality Technologist

  • Experience in a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center highly preferred




Job Summary

The Multimodality Technologist, under the general supervision of a Radiologist, performs diagnostic imaging procedures across two or more modalities, with at least 25% of duties in an advanced discipline such as CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, or Interventional Radiology. The technologist provides high-quality imaging services for ambulatory and hospital patients, ensuring diagnostic accuracy, patient safety, and adherence to established protocols and standards.




Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality multimodality imaging procedures in accordance with established exam protocols, ensuring diagnostic accuracy and efficiency.

  • Demonstrate understanding and compliance with radiation dose reference levels, radiation dose monitoring, and appropriate actions for cases exceeding set dose thresholds.

  • Perform iSTAT point-of-care testing for creatinine as required.

  • Apply AIDET principles to ensure clear, compassionate, and professional communication with patients and families.

  • Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging procedures using immobilization devices and correct exposure factors.

  • Adhere to all safety, infection control, radiation, and sterile technique protocols during procedures.

  • Maintain equipment functionality, cleanliness, and quality standards; report equipment issues promptly and assist with inventory management.

  • Ensure accurate verification of patient identity, exam orders, and relevant documentation in accordance with departmental policy.

  • Maintain medical imaging records accurately within designated systems and ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.

  • Serve as a preceptor for new staff or trainees, providing guidance on procedures and department protocols as assigned.

  • Participate in continuing education and demonstrate ongoing competency across assigned imaging modalities.

  • Participate in on-call rotations if required.
