Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Job Location: Oconomowoc WI
Job Duration:3-4 Months
Shift/Time Zone: Monday-Friday with rotating weekends (sat & sun, including holidays). Schedule 8am-4pm. 1/2-hour lunch. Tuesday's off when working Saturday and Sunday.

 

Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of our company, interacting with patients who come in for routine care or critical health decisions. The PSR II performs phlebotomy, draws quality blood samples, and prepares specimens for lab testing while following established procedures. This role requires creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence, explaining procedures clearly, and performing blood draws safely, skillfully, and accurately. The PSR II demonstrates leadership behaviors, process excellence, and strict adherence to patient confidentiality and accuracy. Assignments may include a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations as business needs dictate.




Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

  • Maintain a safe, professional, and clean environment.

  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing confidently, following established procedures.

  • Verify patient demographic information, including initials and signatures post-venipuncture, to ensure correct labeling of specimens.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

  • Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and leadership behaviors.




Job Requirements:

  • Deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Demonstrate excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime, based on staffing needs.

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, dress code, and safety guidelines.

  • Make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

  • Ability to work multiple locations and cover Patient Service Center/In-Office Phlebotomy locations on short notice.

  • Handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

  • Exhibit superior customer focus, transparent communication, adaptability to change, and understanding of the business.




Education & Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED).




Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
