Job Description
Position Title: Medical Information Specialist (Contractor), Medical Information Scientific Engagement (MISE)
The employee is acquainted with the annual company and division goals and is aware of how they can influence these through their performance.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
This position is for a frontline therapeutic specialist who will be responsible for engaging healthcare professionals across all therapeutic areas in rich clinical dialogue by responding to unsolicited medical inquiries. Specialist may provide ad hoc customer
support in the form of clinical discussions and/or literature search analysis. They will also assist with omnichannel processing and daily reconciliation support. Responsibilities also include compliance intake/reporting by identifying and documenting adverse event(s) and/or product quality complaint(s). Specialist may interact with business partners external to the MISE.
Skillsets include:
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
Work in both a team setting and as an individual contributor
Provide excellent customer service
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Minimum Qualification
Advanced degree in Pharmacy (PharmD)
Demonstrated ability to verbally communicate scientific information to healthcare professionals
Experience managing complexity and ability to work independently
Excellent computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite)
Excellent analytical skill to identify gaps and root causes of issues and think out of the box to develop a solution.
Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision to meet tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Medical writing experience and proven ability to conduct literature searches
Experience developing responses to scientific inquiries from healthcare professionals and/or consumers
The typical hours of operation at 8:30 am 5 pm, this is a hybrid position (~2 days remote, 3 days on-site)
