Phlebotomist II - Float
Title: Phlebotomist II - Float
Duration:3 Months
Location: Bonita Springs, FL
Shift: M to F 6am - 2pm and every sat 6am to 12 pm
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, delivering exceptional customer service while performing high-quality specimen collection and processing. This role is responsible for performing accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection, verifying patient information, and ensuring proper specimen labeling and documentation in compliance with established clinical, safety, and confidentiality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, geriatric, and adult blood collections with accuracy and adherence to established protocols.

Collect, label, process, and prepare clinical and forensic specimens for laboratory testing.

Verify patient identity, demographic information, and obtain patient signatures to ensure specimen labeling accuracy and compliance.

Maintain accurate documentation, records, and data entry in laboratory and patient information systems.

Provide clear communication to patients regarding procedures to ensure comfort, trust, and confidence.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.

Work independently with minimal supervision while ensuring quality and timely completion of assigned duties.

Support multiple Patient Service Center (PSC) locations, physician offices, and mobile phlebotomy assignments as required.

Adapt to changing schedules, travel requirements, and staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call assignments.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Strong specimen collection, labeling, and processing skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
-
Ability to work independently and travel between multiple work locations.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record required (for float roles).

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and variable schedules as needed.
Education and Certification:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, or Paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in certain states).
-
Computer and data entry proficiency required.
