Duration: 3 to 6 Months - Short-Term
Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST
Position Summary:
The QA Coordinator is responsible for auditing and evaluating medical coder determinations to ensure accuracy, compliance, factual integrity, and proper grammar and punctuation. This role ensures that all determinations meet project standards and contractual requirements before dissemination.

Position Summary:
The QA Coordinator is responsible for auditing and evaluating medical coder determinations to ensure accuracy, compliance, factual integrity, and proper grammar and punctuation. This role ensures that all determinations meet project standards and contractual requirements before dissemination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate staff work quality against project standards, contractual requirements, and performance measures. Ensure all final determinations undergo the QC process before release.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring activities for quality assurance purposes.
- Assist with staff training and development as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by corporate management.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Medical Billing & Coding Knowledge: Familiarity with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS coding systems, and CPT modifiers is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Critical for accuracy in audits and avoiding errors that could result in disputes or legal issues.
- Understanding of the No Surprises Act: Preferred knowledge of its implications on billing practices.
- Grammar & Writing Skills: Strong command of grammar and punctuation to review determination letters for accuracy and factual correctness.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–2 years of relevant professional experience.
