Duties:
Job Summary:
-The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible to assist nursing personnel in providing resident within the Product of his/her certification, training and meeting regulations.
-Reporting Relationship: RN on duty and DON.
-This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission, Vision and Values of HRH.
-It is excepted that the associate will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values - The associates shall support the HRH goals and direction of the quality improvement process.
-Appropriate Factors for this position: Standing, walking, sitting, pushing (100+), pulling (100+), lifting, carrying, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, filing, typing, xeroxing, talking, Hearing, color vision.
-Physical Demands: Lifting objects over 100 lbs
w/frequent lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Provides all ADL cares to patients including: oral, grooming, personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, range of motion, ambulation, dining.
-Delivers care according to patient's individual care plan.
-Provides care in a manner that respects the resident's dignity and privacy.
-Provides care with kindness and compassion, paying attention to detail and recognizing individual resident needs.
-Offers choices with care and encourages patients to maintain independence whenever possible.
-Adheres to resident's rights when providing care and communication with patients.
-Answers call light promptly.
-Communicates changes in patient's condition to staff nurse in a timely manner.
-Charting and documents as required/ECU policies and procedures.
-Interacts with Interdisciplinary Team to communicate resident preferences, needs and details to establish individualized care plan.
-Interacts with other disciplines to promote, encourage and assist patients to various activitiesof interest to the patient.
-Maintains cleanliness of wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment that patients may use.
-Reports to maintenance any non-working or unsafe equipment or facility fixtures.
-Uses all required safety equipment appropriately, gait belt, goggles, lifts, transfer boards, etc.
Skills:
Required Skills & Experience:
-Requirements are representative of minimum level of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities.
-Experience as a CNA in an extended Care, LTC setting.
-Able to read, write at a level to fulfill documentation requirements.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
-At least one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting.
