Phlebotomist II
Job Title: Phlebotomist
Duration: 6 months
Location: Decature GA
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
Overview:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company to patients, whether for routine health visits or critical health decisions. The PSR II is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing while adhering to established procedures. This role requires direct patient interaction, creating trust and confidence by explaining procedures and performing blood draws safely and accurately. The PSR II will demonstrate leadership, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy in managing patient information. Assignments may be at a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily tasks accurately and on time under supervisor direction.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.

Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established protocols.

Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient initials/signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct specimen labeling.

Maintain required documentation and records.

Promote a positive organizational image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors focused on process excellence and patient confidentiality.
Job Requirements:

Exhibit excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.

Exercise good judgment and decision-making within established procedures.

Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if applicable).

Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with minimal notice.

Demonstrate superior customer focus and clear communication with peers, supervisors, and patients.

Ability to embrace and adapt to change.

Knowledge of company business practices.
Education & Certification:
-
High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.
-
Medical training (Medical Assistant or Paramedic) preferred.
-
Phlebotomy certification preferred; REQUIRED in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

At least 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.

Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.

Keyboard and data entry skills.
Additional Details:

Compensation based on years of direct experience (no double counting overlapping roles).

Reliable transportation is mandatory (bus, Uber, or rideshare is not considered reliable).

Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may result in termination.

Commute time should be within 20-25 minutes to ensure ability to cover shifts reliably.
