Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Phlebotomist I (PSR I)
Job Location: Fort Myers, FL
Job Duration: 5+ Months
Shift: Tuesday to Saturday 6:00 am to 3:00 pm
Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company for patients seeking healthcare services, whether for routine care or critical health decisions. The PSR I is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing, following established practices and procedures. This position involves direct patient interaction, where the PSR I ensures a trusting and confident environment by clearly explaining procedures and performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and skillful manner. The PSR I is expected to demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and precision in patient information.
If the candidate is bilingual, they must have an excellent understanding of both English and Spanish to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

Confidently handle both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing, following established practices and procedures.

Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Promote a positive image of the company and provide excellent service to patients, clients, employees, and the general public.
Job Requirements:

Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric experience.

Flexible and available for various shifts based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Bilingual candidates must have an excellent understanding of both English and Spanish for effective communication with patients.
Required Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
-
Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Work Experience:
-
A minimum of 6 months of experience is required.
-
One year or more of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
-
Experience in customer service within a retail or service environment is preferred.

Keyboard/data entry experience is essential.
