Duration: 2-3 Months+ Contract (with possible extension)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:15 AM – 5:15 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Travel: Required – must be flexible with locations (PSC/In-Office Phlebotomy coverage)
Position Summary:
The Phlebotomist II (Patient Services Representative II) is a front-line role responsible for high-quality, safe, and accurate collection of blood specimens from patients. The position demands excellent phlebotomy technique, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This individual plays a key role in promoting a professional and positive image of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric blood collections.
- Accurately label and verify specimens and patient information at the point of collection.
- Ensure safe and clean working environment while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Maintain records, documentation, and compliance with company protocols and safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service, demonstrating empathy and clear communication.
- Travel to various Patient Service Centers and In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice.
- Assist in training or onboarding as needed; training location may vary based on trainer availability.
- Follow all policies related to quality assurance, compliance, dress code, and safety.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent – Required
- Medical assistant or paramedic training – Preferred
- Phlebotomy certification – Preferred (Required in CA, NV, WA)
- 3 years minimum phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections – Required
- 2 years in a Patient Service Center or equivalent environment – Preferred
- Experience with keyboard/data entry – Required
- Previous customer service experience in healthcare or retail setting – Preferred

- Exceptional phlebotomy technique and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and internal lab systems
- Strong commitment to compliance, safety, and confidentiality
