Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Duration: 3 months of contract (possibility of extension)
Applicants must live an hour away.
Shift: Schedule Notes: 7 am to 3:30 pm 8 hours - 24hr guarantee, Open availability for 40 hrs per week. Every other weekend required.
Note: Stipend is also provided to the qualified candidate living more than 50 miles from the facility.
Essential Duties:
- Provides sterile instruments and supplies during the surgical procedure.
- Prepares case tables with necessary equipment, sterile supplies, instruments, and medications/solutions for each surgical case
- Suggests instrument set changes to EMI and works with SPD identifying instrument sets that need to be worked on.
- Actively engages in case costing by talking with surgeons regarding product usage, connects with EMIs to make cost savings suggestions, makes suggestions on how to eliminate waste on cases.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program or appropriate training program.
Certifications & License required:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- BLS – AHA
