Job Title: X-Ray Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Shift: Day Shift
Contract Duration: 8 weeks
Pay Rate: $62/hour negotiable (**Per-diem rates are also applicable for qualified candidates)
Role Overview:
The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for operating radiologic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images of the body. This role ensures patient safety, compliance with radiation protocols, and supports accurate diagnosis through high-quality imaging. It also involves maintaining equipment, assisting patients, and ensuring adherence to safety and infection control standards.

It also involves maintaining equipment, assisting patients, and ensuring adherence to safety and infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish rapport with patients to identify and meet imaging service needs.
- Explain procedures and address patient questions to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
- Prepare patients for procedures by positioning and adjusting equipment appropriately.
- Apply radiation safety protocols, including beam restriction and shielding techniques.
- Maintain radiographic quality standards and process images effectively.
- Document all procedures and patient interactions in medical and department records.
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on radiology equipment.
- Manage radiology inventory and ensure availability of necessary supplies.
- Comply with all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.
- Stay current with continuing medical education (CME) and industry best practices.
- Support the broader team by contributing to departmental goals and initiatives.
- Complete yearly Age-Specific Competency training.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
- Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology

Licensing Requirements:
- New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T)
- ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

Experience:
- Minimum Required: 2 years of recent experience
