Phlebotomist II
Duration: 3 months
Location: Canton GA
Shift : 7am - 3pm M-F
Job Overview:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company to patients. This role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining a professional and safe environment. The PSR II fosters trust and confidence in patients by clearly explaining procedures and performing venipuncture in a skillful and accurate manner.
The PSR II also demonstrates leadership behaviors, maintains confidentiality and accuracy in patient information, and may be assigned to a doctor's office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities under the direction of the area supervisor accurately and on time.

Create a safe, clean, and professional environment.

Conduct forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing, following proper procedures.

Verify patient demographics, signatures, and labeling of specimens post-collection.

Maintain required documentation and records.

Promote a positive image to patients, clients, and the public.

Demonstrate organizational commitment and leadership behaviors.
Job Requirements:
Technical & Professional Skills:

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.

Strong focus on quality, accuracy, and error-free work.

Keyboard and data entry experience.
Soft Skills:

Superior customer focus.

Clear and transparent communication with peers, supervisors, and patients.

Flexibility & Availability:

Must be available for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Travel required; must be flexible to work at multiple locations with short notice.
Transportation:

Reliable personal transportation is required. (Public transit, Uber, or rideshare are not considered reliable transportation.)

Valid driver's license and clean driving record if applicable.
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent – Required.

Medical training preferred (e.g., medical assistant or paramedic).

Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections).

2+ years of experience in a Patient Service Center – Preferred.

Customer service experience in retail or service environments – Preferred.
Additional Details:

Candidate must list home city and commute time to job site on resume.

Rate of pay is based on years of direct experience (non-overlapping).

Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may lead to termination.
-
Candidates should live within 20–25 minutes commute from the worksite to ensure availability for coverage.

Training location may vary based on trainer availability.
