Phlebotomist II

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company to patients. This role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining a professional and safe environment. The PSR II fosters trust and confidence in patients by clearly explaining procedures and performing venipuncture in a skillful and accurate manner.

The PSR II also demonstrates leadership behaviors, maintains confidentiality and accuracy in patient information, and may be assigned to a doctor's office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.

• Perform daily activities under the direction of the area supervisor accurately and on time.

• Create a safe, clean, and professional environment.

• Conduct forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing, following proper procedures.

• Verify patient demographics, signatures, and labeling of specimens post-collection.

• Maintain required documentation and records.

• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, and the public.

• Demonstrate organizational commitment and leadership behaviors.

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.

• Strong focus on quality, accuracy, and error-free work.

• Keyboard and data entry experience.

• Superior customer focus.

• Clear and transparent communication with peers, supervisors, and patients.

• Adaptability to change and knowledge of business operations.

• Must exhibit good judgment and decision-making within established guidelines.

• Must be available for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

• Travel required; must be flexible to work at multiple locations with short notice.

• Reliable personal transportation is required. (Public transit, Uber, or rideshare are not considered reliable transportation.)

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record if applicable.

• High school diploma or equivalent – Required.

• Medical training preferred (e.g., medical assistant or paramedic).

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections).

• 2+ years of experience in a Patient Service Center – Preferred.

• Customer service experience in retail or service environments – Preferred.

• Candidate must list home city and commute time to job site on resume.

• Rate of pay is based on years of direct experience (non-overlapping).

• Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may lead to termination.

• Candidates should live within 20–25 minutes commute from the worksite to ensure availability for coverage.

• Training location may vary based on trainer availability.
