Facilities Manager
Job Title: Facilities Quality Engineer
Location: Buena Vista, FL 32830
Duration: 7 Months
Pay rate:- 50/hr - $59/hr on W2
Job Overview
The Facilities Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring technical safety, compliance, and facilities analysis for client cruise line facilities as part of a Performance Alignment (PA) project. This role involves conducting inspections, audits, and assessments to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and codes. The engineer will work closely with internal teams and client subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and implement documentation, training, and audit activities for safety-critical processes. This position reports to the Manager of the Client Performance Alignment Project.
Responsibilities

Promote and model safe behaviors, encouraging adherence to safety standards across teams and partners.

Conduct inspections, audits, and analyses of client island facilities and specific shipside facilities to identify safety-critical processes.

Assess alignment between manufacturer requirements, operating guides, job plans, and maintenance criteria.

Review hazard analyses and design documentation to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Document facilities-related issues and develop mitigation and sustainment plans.

Ensure maintenance procedures are clearly documented and that personnel are adequately trained.

Collaborate with internal teams and client SMEs to develop, update, or modify facilities documentation and compliance-related procedures.

Assist in the development and implementation of training, assessment, and audit activities for safety-critical processes.

Provide regular updates and progress reports to the Manager of the Client Performance Alignment Project.

Work with the Performance Alignment team to establish and follow a structured framework for documentation, including manuals, procedures, training, and auditing to ensure safe facility operations.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
-
2–4 years of experience in facilities engineering with increasing levels of responsibility.

Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or equivalent state certification/license.

Experience in the design, installation, and commissioning of facilities compliant with regulatory and industrial standards.

Proficiency in Maximo, EDMS, AutoCAD, and MS Office.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex data concisely.

High attention to detail, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple tasks.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.

Willingness to work occasional second and third shifts or off-site as required.
Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Management.

Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license.
-
American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification.
-
Familiarity with industry regulatory and compliance standards.

Experience in implementing or using the Performance Alignment model.

Previous experience in the cruise line industry with knowledge of maritime standards and regulatory requirements.

Proficiency with CLIENT SMS, A004DOS.
Work Environment

The team is onsite four days a week (Monday–Thursday), with Friday being remote (subject to change).
