R&D Technical Specialist
Duration: 12 months
Location: High Point, NC 27265
Shift time: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Job Description: Position Summary:


The R&D Technical Specialist will provide critical support to the Research & Development team by preparing, revising, and maintaining technical documentation in compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements. This individual will play an essential role in ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of technical materials while assisting with administrative and documentation processes across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and revise technical documents, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), specifications, technical reports, and other controlled documentation.
  • Ensure all technical documentation complies with internal quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage document workflows using Documentum or equivalent document control systems.
  • Support data entry, tracking, and reporting activities within SAP.
  • Perform administrative duties as needed to support R&D operations, including record keeping, file management, and coordination of document reviews and approvals.
  • Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and quality assurance personnel to obtain, verify, and consolidate technical information.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of document templates, processes, and version control procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, technical, or related field preferred.
  • Strong technical writing and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Documentum and SAP preferred.
  • Previous technical writing or documentation experience in a scientific or manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility and initiative are key to success in this position.
Prior experience in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or laboratory instrumentation) is advantageous.
