Dental Hygienist

Careers Integrated Resources Inc Ocala, FL (Onsite) Contractor
Job Title: Dental Hygienist
Location: Ocala, FL
Duration:  6 Months+
 
WORK ENVORNMENT:
  • Marion County Health Department or alternating school site locations.
     
DRESS CODE:
  • Scrubs
     
TRAVEL:
  • 10% of the time.
  • May be assigned to a school site. Can ride with a state employee in a state vehicle. Normally will be an elementary school. Will be at the school for the entire day, not travel required during business hours.


TOOLS/EQUIPMENT:
  • Dental hygiene tools, Eaglesoft and HMS computer software
     
JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Using dental instruments and hygiene equipment, performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planning.
  • Instruct patients in preventive dental techniques.
  • Assisting a high number of patients as required.
  • Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants and volunteers.
     
SKILLS/EDUCATION NEEDED:
  • Must have a clear and current Florida Dental Hygiene license
  • Must have a current/active CPR certificate
  • Knowledge of dental terminology
  • Knowledge of dental hygiene principles and practices
  • Skills using dental instruments and equipment and performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planning.
  • Ability to instruct patients in preventive dental techniques.
  • Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants and volunteers in a way that promotes teamwork and the betterment of the residents of Marion County
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
  • Pediatric Experience highly preferred
