Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Location: West Bend, WI 53095
Duration: 05/26/2025 – 10/23/2025 (Approx. 5 months)
Shift: 1st
Schedule: 4 Days Per Week, 36 Hours Per Week, .875 FTE to work 7/70 (B week Mon–Sun 6:30 AM–5:00 PM), then a week off
Job Summary:
-
At the direction of a radiologist or other providers, prepares patients and performs radiographic procedures in diagnostic radiology and operates imaging equipment.

Performs diagnostic studies according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols while utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures.

Adheres to organizational customer service standards and supports organizational excellence initiatives.
-
Provides effective interaction and communication with patients, visitors, and staff.
-
Performs ancillary services and assists in patient care areas as necessary.
-
Performs radiologic/fluoroscopic procedures accurately and efficiently with the least amount of discomfort to the patient.

Explains exam to patient; interviews patient to obtain medical history and documents into RIS.

Provides instruction, assists throughout exam, and thanks patient at conclusion.

Uses ALARA for radiation protection and follows OSHA/PPE/handwashing standards.
-
Appropriately positions patients and selects technical factors to maximize diagnostic quality with minimal repeats.

Ensures correct image ID, marker placement, annotations, and reviews technical accuracy.

Collaborates with staff for exam scheduling and efficiency.
-
Assists in patient transport as needed.
-
Communicates with radiologists and providers for protocol guidance.
-
Matches orders to images, approves and archives to PACS, performs reconciliations in a timely manner.

Documents fluoro time and skin exposure.
-
Demonstrates EPIC proficiency—workflow from order to end exam, including notes and documentation.

Shows flexibility with reassignment, weekends, holidays, and on-call (not required).

Routinely supports team by preparing rooms, stocking, and maintaining cleanliness.

Creates a positive learning environment, mentors staff/students/interns, and assists with onboarding.

Reports malfunctioning equipment and assists in minor troubleshooting.
Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

Required: Post high school completion of an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
-
Preferred: 1–2 years of additional college/university coursework or an undergraduate healthcare-related degree

ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology

Current Wisconsin State license as a Radiographer

American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Provider or equivalent

Required Skills & Experience:

One year of current clinical experience OR clinical student experience

Self-motivated and well-organized

Ability to prioritize and remain flexible during emergencies
