Job Location: Oconomowoc, WI 53066
Job Duration: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Shift: 1st Shift—7:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist with Mazak experience to join our team in a full-time, direct-hire role. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience setting up, adjusting, and operating CNC and manual machines, with strong attention to precision and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machinery, specifically Mazak machines.
- Plan and select feeds, speeds, tooling, work-holding setups, cutting sequences, and depth of cuts.
- Perform layout work and grind tools, including form tools.
- Edit programs, load existing CNC programs, and optimize machining operations.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, specifications, and sketches.
- Use precision measuring instruments to inspect and verify part accuracy.
- Maintain critical tolerances and surface finishes.
- Assist and support other machinists and operators as needed.
- Operate overhead cranes and lift materials up to 50 lbs.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience, specifically with Mazak equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in shop math, blueprint reading, and machining preferred.
- Experience working with stainless steel.
- Proficient in reading complex blueprints and using measuring tools.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physical tasks as needed.
