Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: Bradenton, FL 34202
Duration: 6 months+ (possible extension)
  
Shift: Monday to Friday: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM (1-hour lunch from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM)
Rotational Saturdays: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM (every third Saturday)
 
Roles and responsibilities:

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• Have direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
• Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection. Phlebotomy experience - pediatric and geriatric capillary and venipuncture - required. 
• Demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Maintains require records and documentation.
• Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general

• Minimum of 6 months’ experience is REQUIRED. One (+) years phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Keyboard/data entry.
• Customer services.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills to include paediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
