Surgical Tech 2
Job Title: Surgical Tech 2
Location: West Bend, WI, 53095
Duration: 3 Months+ (Possible extension)
Shift: 2nd Shift
Schedule: 4 days/week, 40 hours/week, 10-hour shifts (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM), includes on-call and weekend call
Job Summary:
• As a member of the healthcare team, collaborates with the surgical team to provide care for patients, ensuring patient goals are met and the hospital mission is upheld
• Performs procedures in a variety of specialties requiring knowledge and skills
• Demonstrates higher-level collaboration with peers in decision-making related to surgical patient care
• Other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience:
• Two years of full-time equivalent experience as a Surgical Technologist
Education:
• High School/GED and one of the following:
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program
• Completion of a Military Training Program as an Operating Room Specialist
• Completion of a Froedtert Health sponsored Apprentice II Program
• Ten or more years of experience as a Surgical Tech
Licensure & Certifications:
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent
