Radiology Tech

Duration: 02/16/2026 – 04/26/2026
Schedule Notes: 10:30 AM - 11:00 PM. Every 3rd Weekend, Holidays as needed, On Call. 13 weeks. Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care facility. Must be able to work independently in these areas' emergency room, Trauma pts Must have OR experience. Portables Peds experience
Pay Range: $60-$65/hr.
Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Completion of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology

Completion of clinical and A.R.R.T. requirements
Required Certifications & Licensure:

Must possess New Jersey State License

Applicant must be able to meet the requirements for the National Registry and pass such examination
Job Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist I is responsible for obtaining diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level not requiring constant supervision and performs all of the essential generic job functions.
Duties:

Produces diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients, providing immobilization devices, and selecting proper technical factors based on individual patient needs.

Restricts radiation beam through cone and collimating devices to provide non-exposure of radiation to unaffected parts of the patient.

Performs portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency rooms.

Identifies patient films with name and x-ray number and correctly marks films to indicate the side examined.

Develops exposed x-ray film using available processing methods.

Completes patient requisitions with technologist initials, date, number, and size of film.

Maintains an orderly x-ray room as directed by the department.

Prepares radiopaque contrast media and assists physicians in administering radiopaque mixtures.

Performs administrative duties related to scheduling appointments, patient instruction, film filing, maintenance of records, reception of patients, and other required tasks.

Assists patients with movement, positioning, and transfers as needed.

Meets physical requirements including lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing.

Identifies patient population needs and modifies care delivery accordingly, communicating appropriately with patients and caregivers.
