- Job Title: RN -Telemetry
- Location: Oakland, CA - 94611
- Contract: 13 Weeks+
- Shifts: 12-hr Days or Nights | 36 hrs/week
- Local Pay: $70–$80/hr
- Travel Pay: $2,700–$3,300/week (stipend available for candidates living >50 miles)
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring
- Interpret telemetry strips and promptly identify and respond to arrhythmias and changes in patient condition
- Perform focused cardiac and systemic assessments and document findings accurately
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and allied health teams to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and discharge plans
- Respond to emergencies, initiate life-saving interventions, and participate in rapid response and code situations
- Maintain patient safety, infection control standards, and compliance with all regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent Telemetry experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN license in the state where care is provided
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Basic Arrhythmia course required
