Phlebotomist II

Duration: 4 months
Shift:Day shift / CST - 22 hours a week Monday - Thursday 8 AM - 2 PM.
Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) plays a key role in patient interaction, drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and explaining procedures to ensure a safe and trusting experience. PSR II will demonstrate leadership, uphold confidentiality, and focus on accuracy. This role may be in a doctor's office, patient service center, or other locations as needed.
Responsibilities:

Perform accurate, timely daily activities under supervisor direction.

Maintain a safe and professional environment.

Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following procedures.

Verify patient info and label samples correctly.

Maintain records and documentation.

Promote a positive image to patients and the public.
Requirements:

Strong ability to produce error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
-
Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Flexible, available for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Adhere to company policies, dress code, and safety procedures.

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Able to handle multiple priorities in high-volume settings.

Strong customer service and communication skills.
Education/Experience:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
-
Phlebotomy certification required in CA, NV, and WA.
-
3+ years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

2+ years in a patient service center preferred.

Customer service experience preferred.

Keyboard/data entry experience.
Additional Info:

Must have reliable transportation within a 20-25 minute commute to the job site.

Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may lead to termination.
