  • Monday–Friday: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Rotating Saturdays: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM



Job Description

The Phlebotomist I (Patient Services Representative I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, providing highquality phlebotomy services and exceptional customer care. This role involves collecting accurate blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and following all established clinical and safety procedures. The Phlebotomist I ensures a positive patient experience by creating an atmosphere of trust, thoroughly explaining procedures, and performing blood draws with skill, confidence, and professionalism.

The individual in this role will demonstrate strong attention to detail, uphold patient confidentiality, and contribute to process excellence within the patient service center.




Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily phlebotomy duties—including forensic and clinical specimen collection—accurately, safely, and on schedule under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Collect highquality blood samples from diverse patient groups, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Prepare, label, and process specimens for laboratory testing according to established protocols and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment while following safety, infection control, and compliance procedures.
  • Accurately complete required documentation, logs, and records while ensuring full confidentiality of patient information.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining procedures clearly and fostering a respectful, comfortable, and trustbased environment for patients.
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and professionalism while interacting with patients, colleagues, clients, and the public.
  • Work independently with minimal onsite supervision while delivering errorfree work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Remain flexible in scheduling, including availability for Saturdays, holidays, overtime, and coverage needs.



Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience required; 1+ year preferred.
  • Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory only in CA, NV, WA).
  • Customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service setting preferred.
  • Keyboarding and dataentry proficiency required.
  • Ability to produce accurate, quality work in a highvolume setting.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.



Additional Requirements

  • Must list home city and commute time on resume; commute must be 20–25 minutes or less to ensure reliable coverage.
  • Candidate must have reliable personal transportation (rideshare or public transit does not qualify).
  • Must be available for all scheduled shifts, arrive on time, and stay for the entire duration—excessive tardiness or absenteeism will result in termination.
  • If currently a student, class schedules must not conflict with required work hours.
