Phlebotomist I
Position: Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Schedule: Rotational Saturdays (5+ hours as needed)
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I is the first point of contact for patients, providing professional, compassionate care while performing blood draws and preparing specimens for laboratory testing. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform clinical and forensic blood draws accurately and safely

Prepare and process specimens according to established procedures

Explain procedures clearly to patients and create a positive experience

Maintain accurate records and documentation

Follow safety, quality, and confidentiality standards

Work independently while meeting daily productivity and accuracy goals

Promote a professional and positive company image
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience (1+ year preferred)

Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients

Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
-
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in some states)

Customer service experience preferred

Data entry/keyboard skills required

Reliable transportation required (must live within 20–25 minutes of site)

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call as scheduled

Must be punctual and able to work full scheduled shifts
