Phlebotomist I
Title: Phlebotomist
Location: Vero Beach, FL
Shift: 7am - 4 pm with rotational Saturday/ Eastern
Duration: 4 months
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients seeking health services, whether for routine check-ups or critical health decisions. The PSR I is responsible for drawing blood samples from patients, preparing specimens for lab testing, and adhering to established procedures. The PSR I ensures a positive patient experience by explaining procedures clearly, performing blood draws accurately and safely, and maintaining a supportive and trustworthy atmosphere. The role requires a commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and excellent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily tasks with accuracy and punctuality under supervisor direction.

Ensure a safe, professional, and efficient working environment.

Collect and process both clinical and forensic specimens with confidence, following standard protocols.

Maintain accurate records and required documentation.

Promote a positive image of the company by demonstrating organizational commitment and engaging with patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail, producing high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Proficient phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
-
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

At least 6 months of relevant work experience (required).

One year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
-
Customer service experience, especially in retail or service environments, preferred.

Proficiency in keyboarding/data entry is required.
