Job Title: Medical Lab Technician
Job Location: Detroit, MI
Job Duration: 2-3 Months (possibility of extension)
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (Potential Flex hours 9:00am - 5:00pm or 9:30am - 6:00pm)

Job Summary:
- Under direct supervision by laboratory technologist, leader and/or supervisor, and according to defined protocols, performs select procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens, involving manual techniques or the use of laboratory instruments and information systems.
- May perform phlebotomy as needed.
Required Education:
-
Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science.
Required Certification & Licensure:
- Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA).
- BLS, MLT is plus.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Prior experience in clinical labs, handling specimens and comfortable in PPE. A fair amount of testing is prenatal testing.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform laboratory functions.
Technology:
- Epic.
- CoPathPlus (LIS).
Interview:

In-Person or (MS Teams 30 minutes to 1hr depending on location).
Important:
-
We are looking for a resource with sample receipt and accessioning, and lab bench experience rather than phlebotomy.
