Medical Assistant
Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Milwaukee, WI, 53226
Duration: 09/29/2025 01/01/2026
Shift: 1st (with some 2nd shifts)
Schedule: 5 days per week, 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day.
Schedule Notes: Work location includes various Client facilities in the greater Milwaukee area, Menomonee Falls, and West Bend.
Varies, primarily 1st and a few 2nd shifts.
Top qualifications include good customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to give IM injections, reliable transportation, punctuality, and good attendance. No weekends, no on-call. This is a float position.

One (1) year of healthcare experience.
Education

High School Diploma or GED.

Completion of one of the following:

MA program.

EMT-Basic course.

Trained on the job MA with one (1) year experience in health care, or completion of MA Apprentice program.

Licensure & Certifications
-
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Providers (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent.
Job Summary
-
Rooms patients using the standard rooming procedure in a timely manner to assure optimal patient flow and to meet customer service standards.

Performs clinical tasks including, but not limited to: Point of care testing, medication and vaccination administration, application of durable medical equipment, phlebotomy, and assisting with procedures per protocol.

Completes administrative duties such as: medication refills per protocol, prior authorizations, communicating normal results, handling of MyChart messages, and incoming/outgoing paperwork within standard turnaround time.

Assists with support scheduling functionalities and referral facilitation tracking per clinic guidelines.

Provides and reviews appropriate educational materials, instructions, and After Visit Summaries with patients as directed per clinic guidelines.

Utilizes EMR to document all patient care accurately, professionally, and timely, including level of service where applicable per policy and clinic guidelines.

Escalates situations of compliance risk or patient safety concerns to proper member(s) of the care team and/or leadership in a timely manner.

Performs pre-visit planning and registry management per clinic guidelines.

Follows all safety and infection control standards to provide safe patient care and a safe work environment.

Supports inventory control and maintenance of equipment.

May be responsible for specialty-specific clinical tasks and non-clinical duties within the Medical Assistant Product as directed by department leader.

Obtains appropriate patient consent documentation within Product for applicable procedures.

Other duties as assigned.
