Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel Contract
Location: Temple, TX
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 3x12 Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Employment Type: Travel | Temp to Perm
Interview Process: 1 Round

Requirements
-
Required Certifications: RRT, RCP, BLS, PALS

Preferred Certification: NBRC NPS

Experience: Minimum 4 years in Pediatric and PICU settings
Job Responsibilities
-
Administer respiratory care therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, airway clearance, and ventilator support
-
Perform both invasive and non-invasive ventilation and bedside spirometry
-
Respond to emergency situations including cardiopulmonary resuscitation
-
Review physician orders and patient diagnostic results to determine appropriate therapy
-
Monitor patient response and adjust treatment plans accordingly

Educate patients and families on respiratory equipment and therapy techniques

Accurately document treatments, therapies, and patient outcomes
-
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care

Follow all hospital policies including infection control, HIPAA, and safety standards

Strong knowledge of respiratory care modalities, equipment, and medications

Ability to work in high-pressure and fast-paced environments

Basic computer and EMR documentation proficiency
