Job Description:
- The Anesthesia Tech assists in the efficient and safe provision of anesthesia services by setting up rooms and equipment for anesthesia procedures, turnover of rooms and cleaning assigned materials, stocking various anesthesia carts and locations, and transporting anesthesia equipment to and from anesthesia satellite locations as necessary.
- Check and clean all gas machines, calibrate, and test all monitoring equipment, perform minor repairs, arrange for repair of equipment as needed.
- Check ventilators to make sure they are in proper working order. Maintain fiberoptic equipment; clean and sterilize bron Client products and check for leaks.
- Set up rapid infusion devices as the fluid warmers and hot lines.
- Set up sterile transducers, trays and catheters for the insertion of all intravascular monitoring devices such as arterial, central venous, and pulmonary artery catheters
- Sets up electronic amplifiers, transducers and catheters for insertion al all intravascular monitoring devices. Prepares IV setups. Maintenance of regional block cart with medications and disposable items
- Monitoring, replacement and safe storage of gas cylinders. Inspection of supplies to ensure sterility and compliance with expiration data.
Requirements:
- ASATT Certification
- BLS- AHA
- ACLS-AHA
