Job Title: Credentialing Specialist
Location: Onsite – Morristown, NJ , Summit NJ , Pompton Plains NJ.
Duration: 3-months+ W2 contract (with strong potential for extension based on performance and business needs)
Pay Range: $25 – $35/hour (W2)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (37.5 hours/week)
Note: This role is not related to insurance credentialing. It is focused on verifying and maintaining valid credentials and licenses for medical staff.

The role requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Job Summary:
The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for verifying healthcare provider credentials, maintaining accurate records in the Echo database, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations. The role requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce regulatory compliance and support quality assurance initiatives
- Prepare and maintain credentialing reports and documentation
- Process applications for initial credentialing and reappointments (125–200 quarterly)
- Verify and update provider information, including education, training, licensure, and experience
- Maintain accurate data in the Echo credentialing system
- Prepare materials for the Credentials Committee, Medical Executive Committee (MEC), and Board of Trustees
- Schedule, attend, and take minutes for medical staff department meetings as needed
- Track license and certification expirations for all providers
- Process and collect medical staff dues
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all provider information
- Ensure compliance with facility bylaws and applicable guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proven knowledge of the credentialing process
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in computer systems and databases (experience with Echo preferred)
- Ability to research, analyze, and manage large volumes of data

- This is an onsite role based in Summit, NJ
- This position focuses specifically on verifying provider credentials and is not related to insurance processing
