Job Title: Production Site Lead
Location: Bear River City, UT 84301
Duration: 9 Months+ (Possible Extension)
Experience Required: Relevant experience in papermaking operations or production management
Position Summary:
The Production Leader oversees the entire production process for one or more products, ensuring that operations meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards. This role plans, organizes, and implements strategies to guarantee successful product development, supervises operations teams, and facilitates continuous improvement.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Recommend operational changes to improve efficiency and output.
- Assess risks and implement strategies to mitigate production issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and industry protocols.
- Resolve production problems and bottlenecks in a timely manner.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and coach team members.
- Develop, organize, and deliver hands-on training to core team members.
- Facilitate team participation and promote a collaborative work environment.
Required Technical Skills:
- Operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of papermaking-specific technology.
- Ability to develop, organize, and provide hands-on training to core team members.
- Understanding of IWS systems to deliver in-process and output metrics.
Preferred Skills / Nice to Have:
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and components related to papermaking.
- Knowledge of industry safety protocols.
- Familiarity with industry best practices to innovate on current procedures and systems.
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent work experience in a related discipline (Business Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, etc.).
- Proven leadership experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and team management skills.
