Professional - Buyer/Planner III
Position Overview
Manage end-to-end material planning, procurement, and inventory control while ensuring compliance with quality standards. Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimize supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Management:
-
Plan/schedule materials to maintain optimal inventory levels

Source and procure MRO/non-product goods and services
-
Monitor supplier performance for on-time deliveries
Operational Excellence:
-
Execute shipping/receiving, storage, and distribution tasks
-
Support month-end financial processes (cost collection, inventory reporting)
-
Collaborate with Quality teams to maintain compliance
Systems & Processes:
-
Utilize SAP (or similar ERP) for MRP planning and purchase orders
-
Drive continuous improvement initiatives per BSC’s Quality Policy
Qualifications
Required:
-
Education:
-
BA + 6–9 years’ experience or
-
MBA + 4–7 years’ experience

Technical Skills:
-
Proficiency in SAP or equivalent ERP systems

Expertise in MRP planning

Soft Skills:
-
Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities
-
High sense of urgency and attention to detail

Preferred:
-
Experience in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, manufacturing)

Certification (e.g., CPSM, APICS CPIM)
Quality & Compliance

Adhere to all quality management system requirements
