Phlebotomist II
Location: Ahoskie, NC
Duration: 6+ months (Possible Extension)
Shift: Mon – Thus 08:00 AM – 01:00 PM EST.
Payrate: 19.93 - 22.17/hr on W2
Position Overview:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, delivering high-quality service in both clinical and routine health settings. This role is responsible for collecting blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and ensuring patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality throughout the process.
The PSR II maintains professionalism, accuracy, and efficiency while creating a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and capillary collections (including pediatric and geriatric patients) following established procedures.

Prepare and process clinical and forensic specimens accurately and safely.

Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signatures to confirm proper specimen labeling.

Maintain accurate documentation and required records.

Ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

Demonstrate strong customer service skills and promote a positive company image.

Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high quality standards.

Travel to multiple locations as needed to support business operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
-
Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred).
-
Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA).
Experience:
-
1–3 years of direct phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections).

Experience in a Patient Service Center environment (preferred).

Customer service experience in retail or service environments (highly preferred).

Basic keyboard and data entry skills.

Must be able to travel between assigned locations with minimal notice.

Home residence should be within approximately 20–25 minutes of the job site.

Must be available to work scheduled shifts in full without attendance issues.
