Location: Long Beach, CA 90805
Duration: 3 Months+ (Possible Extension)
Pay Rate: $30/hr. on W2
Shift: 3rd Shift | 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Hours: 40 per week | 5 days/week
Type: Contract-to-Permanent
Position Summary:
The Sterile Processing Technician supports the receipt, inspection, sterilization, and return of loaner and consignment trays while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with quality standards. This role ensures smooth production workflows, effective communication with vendors and team members, and supports the SPD leadership in maintaining efficiency and precision.

Position Summary:

This role ensures smooth production workflows, effective communication with vendors and team members, and supports the SPD leadership in maintaining efficiency and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify contents of loaner and consignment trays before and after sterilization.
- Track trays throughout the sterilization and return cycle, partnering with Production Coordinator and SPD leadership.
- Support daily production workflow, prioritize workloads, and meet operational deadlines.
- Document all tray movements and sterilization activities accurately in tracking systems.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and team members to ensure timely processing.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and escalate discrepancies as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years hands-on SPD experience, including loaner and consignment trays.
- CRCST or CSPDT certification.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments while maintaining quality standards.
- Familiarity with instrument tracking systems and documentation procedures.
- Team-oriented with a proactive, positive attitude.

- Accurate handling and verification of all trays from receipt to return.
